Yusuke Sato (Classical)

Description:

A masterpiece by a highly acclaimed and enthusiastically supported composer in the early 19th centuryBohemian-born composer/pianist Johann Ladislaus Dusek (Dusik) was highly acclaimed and enthusiastically supported by his audiences in the early 19th century. His works were described as original, noteworthy, and the height of sophistication, but today they are rarely performed. In this context, Yusuke Sato, an up-and-coming pianist with a wide repertoire ranging from baroque to contemporary works, has brought to light a number of buried composers and works, and has recorded a collection of Dusek's piano works. This is a must-listen and must-have CD. <Born in Fukushima Prefecture, Sato began composing at age 11 and taking piano lessons at age 14, making his recital debut at age 15. He won the first prize in the 10th Contemporary Music Performance Competition "KYOGAKU X" (sponsored by the Asahi Shimbun and the Japan Contemporary Music Society), the only contemporary music performance competition in Japan, and was awarded the 22nd Asahi Contemporary Music Award and the Audience Award, which attracted much attention. He has also received numerous awards both in Japan and abroad, including the 2nd Prize at the 2004 U.F.A.M. International Music Competition (France), the 1st Prize and the Special Prize for Miyoshi's Works at the 3rd Akira Miyoshi Piano Competition, the 1st Prize at the 9th Czech Music Competition, the 1st Prize and the Toyo Shinyo Special Prize at the 12th Huppel Tosu Peace Piano Competition, and many more. She has received numerous awards both in Japan and abroad. She attended the 15th Hamamatsu International Piano Academy. He boasts a wide repertoire ranging from baroque to contemporary music, and has performed not only in Japan but also in Italy, France, Germany, Romania, and other countries. He has been involved in the premieres of more than 50 new compositions and has dedicated and commissioned many others. He has also been actively involved in unique activities that shed light on rarely performed composers and works that have been buried in the past, and actively introduces them to the public. He has released several albums on labels such as Camerata Tokyo and 299Music. Following the recital series "New Pianist Manifesto," which was well-received for its new sensitivity to a wide variety of music with no boundaries, he is continuing the new series "PIANO EPOCH," in which he focuses on a single theme each time and delves deeply into it. As one of the young pianists with a unique perspective, his future activities are highly anticipated. Camerata Tokyo
