The work, which combines an elaborate and profound world, innovative and high-quality visuals, and unpredictable suspense drama, attracted a great deal of attention in and outside the industry even before it began airing in 2012, and it continued until its broadcast ended in 2013, impacting not only anime fans but also a wide range of other audiences. In October 2014, the completely new sequel "PSYCHO-PASS: Psycho-Pass 2" will finally be launched! The story takes place a year and a half after the final episode of the first season series. The story takes place one and a half years after the last episode of the first series, in a society where people's psychological states and personality tendencies are quantified and controlled by a value called PSYCHO-PASS. The story depicts Akemi Tsunemori, a surveillance officer of the Public Security Bureau's Criminal Investigation Division who controls crimes that have been exposed by the values, and the Criminal Investigation Division's Section 1, who work together with her, confronting new cases and questioning justice and society.The production staff is a splendid lineup that will further sublimate the story of "PSYCHO-PASS Psycho-Pass". The director is Naoyoshi Shiotani, as in the first season. What kind of direction will director Shiotani, who can be said to be the creative core of "PSYCHO-PASS Psycho-Pass," give in "2"? Ubukata Tow, a top writer of science fiction depiction who is known for "Mardock Scramble" and "Tenchi Meisatsu" and also worked on "Ghost in the Shell: ARISE," will be the series' composer, and Ubuchi Gen, who wrote the original story and script for the first season, has expressed his trust and expectation that he will add a real science fiction backbone to the story. Ubukata Tow is a top writer of science fiction depictions. Director Shiotani and Ubukata developed the story based on the first series, and Jun Kumagai of the "Persona 4" series and "Terror of the Reverberations" fame has incorporated it into the screenplay. The music for the film is by Yugo Kanno of "Odoru Daisousasen" series and "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders" fame, as in the first season. The animation production will be handled by Tatsunoko Production, with Katsuyuki Motohiro and Gen Urobuchi providing overall backup as planning supervisors, creating a lineup that will surpass that of the first series.The cast includes Kana Hanazawa as Akemi Tsunemori, Kenji Nojima as Nobumoto Ginoza, who accepts his demotion as a marshal and supports Akemi, Shizuka Ito as Yayoi Rokugozuka, another marshal, and Miyuki Sawashiro as Shion Karanomori, an analyst, all familiar faces from the first season series, continuing to play their respective characters. The new character of note is Ayane Sakura as Mika Shimotsuki, who was appointed as a surveillance officer in the last episode of the first season. Keiji Fujiwara plays Sakuya Togane, an enforcer who carries out her duties with cool judgment. Takahiro Sakurai, who played Seigo Makishima in the first season, will play Sho Hinagawa, another enforcement officer. The two watchdogs of the Criminal Investigation Section 2 are Masumi Asano as Risa Aoyagi and Marina Inoue as Mizue Sakasui. Ryohei Kimura will play Kirito Shikakoi, the key man in "2. The story of "PSYCHO-PASS Psycho-Pass 2" is about to begin. And then, "PSYCHO-PASS Psycho-Pass the Movie".
