Yukihiro Nishimoto, concertmaster of the Sendai Philharmonic Orchestra and the Kyukyo Symphony Orchestra, will give a recital series entitled "VIOLINable - Possibilities and Compatibility of the Violin," the eighth installment of which will combine a performance of Beethoven's sonatas with a program of music to support reconstruction from the Great East Japan Earthquake. Violinist Yukihiro Nishimoto has continued his "VIOLINable Discovery" series since 2014, which combines performances of Beethoven's sonatas with a program of music in support of the Great East Japan Earthquake relief efforts. This eighth installment of the series offers a rich and varied program. The pianist is Mana Oguchi, who will perform with us for the first time in the series. Currently based in Europe and teaching in Berlin, Oguchi and Nishimoto are friends from the same hometown, having attended the same junior high school and the same university, Tokyo University of the Arts. Since then, both have built up their respective careers in Japan and Germany, and now, after a lapse of time, they are performing together for the first time on this tour.
