Fontec is proud to announce the release of the first CD by young piano prodigy Tomomiki Kitamura. Kitamura was born in 1991. He is currently enrolled at Tokyo University of the Arts. He has already won numerous prizes in competitions, including the first prize and the Grand Jury Prize (for all categories) at the 3rd Tokyo Music Competition in 2005, leaving an indelible mark on the music scene. She has also won prizes in the Hamamatsu and Sydney Competitions. In 2009, she gave recitals in France and Germany. Kitamura's performances are not "self-expression through a work," but rather "actualization of the composer's spirit through the score. His performances are full of fresh music that could only be possible at his current age, and they captivate the listener. This CD, his debut, includes five works related to "Schumann / Fantasy" selected by Kitamura himself. The performance of Schumann's motto, "The artist's mission is to send light into the depths of the human heart," will leave the listener with a warm glow in his or her heart. The booklet includes a detailed commentary written by Kitamura.Diversified musicians trace their lineage to Gould, Brendel, and Yuji Takahashi. Fontec.
