Wa Yo Set, Osaka's proud jazz-funk band, has released its long-awaited third album, a masterpiece that embodies the urban folk music "ADM (=Acoustic Dance Music)" synonymous with the band, crossing over from jazz to hip-hop to R&B in every direction. Wa Yo Set, an instrumental hip jazz band from the streets of Osaka, finally reveals their new project in 2024, with "channel 2" and "Switch" featuring groovy beats that only Wa Yo Set can deliver, and "cruisin'" with its superb judge break. The two preceding 7inch singles include "Don't let me down" with its jazzy bass line and sharp rap by KZ (Umeda Cypher), and "R308," a refreshing summer breezin' tune, The album also includes "Tsutsumikomu yoni" and "Tonight is Boogie Back nice vocal," both of which are brilliant covers of classic Japanese R&B/HIPHOP songs.Their cover of Notorious B.I.G.'s oversized HIPHOP classic "Mo Money Mo Problems," which will be performed for the first time, is a DJ must. This year, they have reached out to a new stage, and we expect great things from them in 2025.
