More than half a century after its release, Queen I has been remixed and restored by Justin Shirley-Smith, Joshua J. McRae, and Chris Fredrickson, giving the band the sound they have long desired. The band's own long-sought-after sound has been reborn. In addition, there is a new track listing and CD2 contains completely unreleased material. The ultimate, complete edition of this important work is now available. This is the first time a Queen album has been re-mixed in stereo.CD1: "Princess of Fear (Queen I)" (2024 mix) features the original track listing as originally planned at the time of release, restored with the latest remixes and remastering, and "Mad the Swine," which was not included on the original LP, has been restored as the fourth track on the album, as the band had intended in 1972. CD2: "Princess of Fear (Queen I)" session contains completely unreleased versions of the songs from the original album, arranged in the same order. Each is completely different from the original and has been newly produced using previously unreleased material recorded at both Trident Studios and Dee Lane Lee Studios. The recordings are a mix of mistakes at the beginning, guide vocals, backing tracks, and alternate takes, as well as chatter and jokes ("That was you, Mr. Balsara!") among the band members and occasional complaints. ), jokes, and even some frustration. Most of the alternate takes are built around acoustic guitars, with electric guitars added later, giving these alternate versions a different feel from the originals.
