Description:
The Folk Crusaders, formed in 1965 by Kazuhiko Kato, then a college student, with Osamu Kitayama and others, recorded the first million-selling single "Kitaitekita Yopparai" on the Oricon Singles Chart starting in 1968. The Folk Crusaders recorded their first million-seller in the Oricon Singles Ranking, which started in 1968. After The Folk Crusaders disbanded, he went on to pursue a solo career before forming the Sadistic Mika Band in 1971, which successfully toured London in 1975, a landmark event at the time. In 1971, they released "Ano Soshii Ai wo Once More," a song that is still loved as a standard today, under the name "Kazuhiko Kato and Osamu Kitayama. After the breakup of Mika Band, in addition to his own solo activities, he produced and provided songs for many artists, including Takuro Yoshida and Mariya Takeuchi. This album includes songs by The Folk Crusaders, Sadistic Mica Band, and solo works that appear in the movie "Tonoban: The Musician Kazuhiko Kato and His Generation," as well as many songs that Kazuhiko Kato was involved in as a producer.Beyond the framework of a documentary film soundtrack, this album is the first collection of works compiled in the footsteps of the rare musician Kazuhiko Kato. A bonus track, "Ano Soshii Ai wo Once More - 2024 Ver." featuring Hiroshi Takano, Ren Takada, Miu Sakamoto, Konosuke Sakazaki, and Osamu Kitayama, which was recorded for the film "Tonoban: Musician Kazuhiko Kato and His Time," is included for the first time on the album.
