The theme of this album is "battle. The title "I vs I" represents the band's battle with themselves, their rivals, and the environment that surrounds them as they face their music, as well as their straightforward desire to deliver their sound to the world over the past nine years since their major label debut. The songs on the album include "Starlight," the theme song for the Fuji TV drama "Ichikei no Karasu" and "Seimei no Aria," the opening theme song for the TV anime "MARS RED," both of which have become representative songs of Wagakki Band, as well as "The Beast," the theme song for the second season of the Netflix anime "Hanma Baki" which was recently announced for worldwide distribution. The album is an original album containing 13 songs in total, including "The Beast," the OP theme song for the second season of the Netflix anime "Hanma Baki" that was recently announced for worldwide distribution, and many other tie-up songs. As a bonus track, the theme song "Ahare! Meisaku-kun" theme song "Meisaku Journey" and the self cover of "Hoshi no Gotoku" which became a hot topic as a song provided to Sutopuri. The CD Only version includes the instrumentals of all the songs on the CD (on one CD).
