The poor sound quality of the album had been a problem, but the sound quality has been greatly improved thanks to DGM's restoration efforts. However, it is without a doubt one of the roughest albums in the SHM-CD catalog! The master for this album was a stereo remastered version at the time of the 40th Anniversary Edition release. The CD is an upgraded version of the master, which includes live versions of "Scenes from a Cold City," "Formentera Lady," and "Circus" to give a fuller picture of Islands Crimson's live performance.The same master as the paper-jacket version currently on sale is now available in a placket version for a more affordable basic catalog price!
