This year, 2012, marks the 20th anniversary of Kaori Muraji's debut and the 10th anniversary of her first international exclusive contract with the prestigious British classical label DECCA. ■Muraji's career as a professional guitarist has been filled with encounters with wonderful artists, friends who support him, and fans who have always been there to cheer him on. Muraharu himself looks back on the path he took as a guitarist, and the cycle of his career as an artist now begins again... The title of this best-of album, "Re-Cycle," was named with this thought in mind. The latest best-of album, DECCA's first, consists of two discs. The first disc, "Pops," features a collection of classic Western songs arranged for guitarist Kaori Muraji, including a special CD of "Early Spring Score" arranged by Toru Takemitsu, which makes its first appearance on CD. The second CD, "Classics," is a selection of masterpieces written for guitar. The second CD is the "Classical" version, which features a selection of masterpieces written for guitar, including "Memories of the Alhambra" performed with Muraharu's world-class tremolo technique and "Lord, Joy of Man's Desiring," the ending theme of the popular TV program "Another Sky" broadcast on Nippon Television.
