The 50th anniversary of "Abbey Road" and the return of "The Beatles Go Baroque"! Hefs on trumpet! The Beatles Go Baroque" was released in 1993 and became a worldwide phenomenon. In 2019, the 50th anniversary of the release of "Abbey Road," the last album recorded by the Beatles, a second edition finally appeared after 26 years. Peter Breiner, a master arranger from Slovakia, once again breathes new life into the Beatles' classic songs with his brilliant arrangements. The curtain opens with "Come Together" as in "Abbey Road. A slight change from the previous work, which was arranged in the style of an ensemble concerto, this time the arrangement mixes works by Bach and Vivaldi with the Beatles' music. The arrangement is always exciting and enjoyable, with the two works harmonizing beautifully, but also often surprising us with its unexpected flow. The last track contains an arrangement from the medley that adorns the B-side of "Abbey Road," and it is a great pleasure to see that even "Her Majesty" is included.This was the last of the four Beatles, but here we have a nifty ending, as if to say that "Go Baroque" is not over yet. One of the highlights of this year's concert was the participation of some surprising virtuosos, among which the arrangement of the Brandenburg Concerto No. 2 (Paul McCartney famously heard this song on the radio by accident and thought of the piccolo trumpet in "Penny Lane") featured trumpet virtuoso Matthias Heffs Heffs, a master trumpet player, joined the band. His brilliant performance enhances the fun of the song. Violinist Dalibor Kalvai, who has appeared in a Japanese documentary program, has toured Japan many times, and is also a member of Babolak's horn ensemble. Naxos Japan
