At one time, Pizzetti was even more highly regarded than Puccini, but he was buried by the currents of the times and only awaited a second chance to revive his career. At that time, however, Puccini was still alive and so influential in the world of music that few people paid any attention to Pizzetti, and it would be many years before he would become a major composer. The piano trio from 1925 has the same tendency and is quite accessible. The Piano Trio, written in 1925, is a beautiful work full of familiar musical ideas.Three Songs" is a relatively simple little piece dedicated to his daughter, Maria Teresa.
