The original anime "Skate Reading Stars" by Goro Taniguchi (General Director), Yana Tobori (Character Designer), and J.C. STAFF (Animation Production) will be released on Blu-ray and DVD. The anime depicts figure skating, which has been attracting attention due to the success of star athletes such as Yuzuru Hanyu, in a new and fascinating way through an original team competition called "Skate Reading"! This is a coming-of-age story that depicts the passionate battles, setbacks, rivals, and friendship of handsome high school students with rich personalities who devote themselves to skating. General director Goro Taniguchi of "Code Geass" and musician Ryo Takahashi of "ACCA" and other works are invited to depict the skating scenes with unprecedented power and intensity. The character design is by Yana TODO ("Black Butler"), a popular manga artist whose works have sold over 28 million copies. The cast includes Yuma UCHIDA, Makoto FURUKAWA, Hiroshi KAMIYA, Yuichiro UMEHARA, and Souma SAITO, who play the beautiful characters.
