This is the latest recording by Rie Hiroe, following "Bach Praise" (RRSC-20012) of organ works by J.S. Bach in his youth. The Fantasy and Fugue on Chorale "Ad nos, ad saltarem undum" (over 30 minutes) is an outstanding performance. The Garnier organ of the Sogakudo at the Tokyo University of the Arts beautifully expresses Franz Liszt's organ music, which is full of a variety of tonal beauties. The recording engineer is Toru Kamekawa (Professor of the Department of Music Environment Creation, Tokyo University of the Arts), who has continued his work on the previous album, and the recording is excellent, capturing everything from the low to the very high notes. A newly written 24-page commentary is included (in Japanese and English).
