Description:
A collection of historical soundtracks from The Quarrymen, the predecessor to The Beatles! Includes live recordings from the day John and Paul met, and 18 demos at Paul's house. Also includes an additional rehearsal at the Cavern (1962). Historical recordings of The Quarrymen, the predecessor band of The Beatles, are now available. John formed the Quarrymen when he was 16, Paul joined at 15, and eventually George joined at 14. The year was 1958. From there, the band went through a series of member changes and became The Beatles. The fateful day John and Paul met (July 6, 1957!) The Quarrymen recordings, of which only 5 songs were used in the official "Anthology", were thoroughly researched and recorded from the latest data. Although the sound quality may vary, the recordings are in chronological order, taking into account that they are also historical recordings of the Beatles. First is the miraculous live recording of "The Day John and Paul Met".An audience member named Bob Molyneux happened to record a sound recording in which John's voice can be clearly heard singing Lonnie Donegan's "Puttin' On The Style" and Elvis Presley's "Baby, Let's Play House". Paul said, "John stood out by himself. I thought it was amazing. The two hit it off and opened the door to the magical world of rock and roll. George Harrison eventually joined the band, and they recorded two songs independently at a studio in Liverpool. After Sutcliffe joined the band, there are recordings of rehearsals at Paul's house. The official "Anthology" contained only 3 songs, but 18 songs are included here. One After 909, co-written by John and Paul, which was only rumored, and I'll Follow The Sun, an early composition by Paul, can also be heard performed by the Quarrymen. As a bonus, there are also some Cabern Club-related recordings after Ringo joined the band. First, the famous "Some Other Guy" was re-recorded by local TV a few days after the video of the song, which has been seen many times on TV, and was urgently released by B. Epstein on acetate at the time, making it an extremely rare recording. Also included are rehearsal recordings of "I Saw Her Standing There" and "One After 909" with John playing harp at the Cavern. The two boys are two different people: a slightly rebellious and mature 16-year-old, and a left-handed 15-year-old who plays both guitar and piano with great dexterity. The five years that followed their first encounter with rock 'n' roll and their fascination with it. This is a permanent edition that traces the history of the world's greatest rock band with its sound recordings. Japanese liner notes. 6,600 characters, 8 pages.
