Description:
The Piano Trio No. 3, written in 1883, takes on a somber character influenced by the death of his mother, but also displays a gravity that is in keeping with the "Symphony No. 7" of the same period. The Fourth Symphony of 1890-91 is an original work in six "dumkas" for violin, cello, and piano, breaking with the traditional four-movement system. The "dumka" is a lyrical piece derived from a Slavic folk song, characterized by alternating melancholy and dance-like sections. The pieces emphasize folk elements, with long, breathy melodies, lute-like pizzicato, bagpipe-like sustained notes, and lively dance rhythms. The Trio Oleron is scheduled to perform the piece in Kelkovac in 2019. Trio Oleron is a piano trio formed in Cologne in 2019 that has garnered attention by winning numerous international competitions, including the ARD Munich International Music Competition, as well as Melbourne and Graz. The ensemble name means "ear" in Esperanto and is known for its deep unity and energetic performances.She has appeared in halls such as the Amsterdam Concertgebouw and the Vienna Musikverein, where she has developed innovative programs combining masterpieces and unknown works. Her "Beethoven's Daughters" project, which sheds light on forgotten female composers, and her albums of works by Amy Beach and other female composers have also been highly acclaimed. Naxos Japan
