The second collection includes two major works inspired by her connection to the outside world.The piano sonata "Herring Island" combines piano, narrator, and pre-recorded sounds to portray the history of the indigenous people. WinterCame Early" is a quietly sung poem about a mother and her daughter trying to come to terms with the diagnosis of a serious illness.
