Nielsen's Symphony No. 3 "Symphony of the Expanse" was composed between 1910 and 1911, and premiered the following year in 1912 by the Royal Danish Orchestra under Nielsen's own direction.At the same time, Nielsen also made an arrangement for 4-hand piano, and a contract was signed to publish it together with the full orchestral score, but for some reason, the 4-hand piano version alone was never published. This is the first recording of the original score, which remained unpublished. Also included on this album are two pieces from the opera "Saul and David," arranged by Nielsen for piano four hands, and "Højby Riffle Club March," composed by Nielsen's father Nils Jorgensen and arranged for four hands by Nielsen, which was recently discovered in the Tivoli Amusement Park archives. March The collection also includes a rare piece, Huldi's revision of the "Højby Riffle Club March," composed by Nielsen's father, Nils Jorgensen, and arranged for four-hand piano by Nielsen.
