In commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the birth of Stanislaw Sukrovaczewski, rare recordings from his native Poland will be released on CD for the first time! In commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the birth of conductor/composer Stanislaw Sukrowaczewski (October 3, 2023), a 1956 recording from the archives of the Warsaw Philharmonic in his native Poland is now available on CD for the first time. This interesting release includes Mozart's Requiem, for which there was no authorized recording, and the "Hero" in the fast tempo of his youth. Skrowaczewski was born in Lubów, Poland (now Lviv, Ukraine), and began piano and violin studies at the age of four.
