The complete Schumann Violin Sonatas and Violin Concerto by the Fouchnuret brothers! A collection of Schumann's violin works performed by Pierre Fouchenré, a violinist who is currently very popular in France, and his brother Theo Fouchenré, winner of the 2018 Geneva International Competition, including No. 3, a transcription of two movements written by Schumann for the F.A.E. Sonata. In addition to the three violin sonatas, the CD also includes popular works such as the Fantasy Pieces originally written for clarinet and the Three Romances for oboe, three romances by Clara Schumann, and the Violin Concerto, which was radical at the time but has long been kept under wraps since its composition. The album also includes a violin concerto that was radical at the time, but has been kept under wraps for a long time. Pierre Fouchenré sings with a richly expressive voice, yet always with a hint of sombre quality, while Theo Fouchenré on piano, who is equal to the violin in some works, and Jean Droillet, who leads the orchestra, are more than capable of supporting each other with their perfectly matched breathing and the tension of the live performance.
