Description:
Jean-Nicolas Diatkin, born in Germany to a family of renowned doctors, began his musical studies at the age of 6. He studied with Claudio Arrau's pupil, Root Neyer, from 1989, and with Nadia Boulanger's pupil, Narcisse Bonnet, in 1994. He started out as an accompanist for singers, and from around 1999, he also became active as a soloist. She is highly regarded as a pianist who conveys the essence of a work. This album was recorded in 2012, and offers the leisurely "Waldstein," supported by his solid technique, and the "Carnival," in which he highlights the individuality of each small piece. Naxos Japan
