Description:

Granados' masterpiece, Music in the Style of Goyescas-Goya, is a suite for solo piano with the subtitle "Young Men in Love." Inspired by Goya's paintings, Granados composed it in 1911 and adapted it for opera in 1916. The colorful music, which also shows influences from French Impressionism and the music of Ravel, carefully depicts the tragic fate of the lovers. The piano on the album is played by Italian pianist Viviana Lasaracina. She made her debut in Milan in 2006, and since then has been active in the fields of solo and chamber music, mainly in Italy.
