Nigl and Pasichenko's album on the theme of the emptiness of the human world] Nigl, active in baroque and contemporary opera and known for his famous performance of "Vozek" (BAC068) with Kurrenzis, and Pasichenko, who is now rapidly gaining recognition for his historical piano playing, collaborate on this album. The album is titled "Vanitas. The album title "Vanitas" is a Latin word that expresses the emptiness of life and prosperity, and includes the famous "Mas," a song about a fisherman who is caught in advance, and a piece about a wanderer. Nigl's voice, which is richly resonant up to the high register and yet somehow shadowy, and Pasichenko's exquisite expression, which seems to tug at the emotions a bit, both more than adequately enhance the beauty and emptiness of the recorded works.
