Description:
Tokyo-born pianist Yasuyo Yano performs Schubert's Piano Sonata. Originally a modern piano player, she was impressed by the sound of Mozart's Violin Sonata performed by Giuliano Carmignola and Andrea Marcon in 2001, and started playing the fortepiano as well. Today, she is a performer who can play both the modern piano and the fortepiano at will. For this Schubert sonata, she used a restored instrument (made in 2011) made by Christopher Clark based on the Konrad Graf, which was owned by the composer himself. The first collection includes the "Fantasy Sonata" and the "Sonata for Two Pianos". The first collection includes two pieces, No. 18, called the "Fantasy Sonata," and No. 16, which is full of varied musical ideas.
