This is a collection of vocal works by the Swiss female composer Marta von Kastelberg. She was born at the end of the 19th century, and for a woman composer, it was extremely difficult to be recognized as a musician, especially as a composer, and she realized that her music would never be performed in public. She herself realized that her compositions would never be performed in public. The British mezzo-soprano Haverfeld, who is the producer of the CD and also performs as a singer, has decided to record her works on CD. The recording was made possible with the help of the Kastelberg Foundation. The album includes motets by the Lalinx Vocal Ensemble, formed in 2005, and a collection of songs for soloist and piano accompaniment, revealing the creative compositional work that Kastelberg was engaged in throughout her life.
