Emil Hartmann was born into an artistic family in 1836, the son of Danish composer Johann Peter Emilius Hartmann. Although he studied composition from an early age, he was often overshadowed by his father in his native Denmark, and seems to have expanded his field of activity in Germany, where he studied abroad. In this album, Danish violinist Elisabeth Zoeten Schneider sheds light on Hartmann's specialty, chamber music, and brings together the best musicians from Germany and Belgium to record Hartmann's Hartmann's romantic and beautifully crafted works have been brought back to life. In the liner notes, Schneider expresses his feelings about Hartmann's works. Schneider was born in Denmark and made his debut in 1981. He later studied in the United States, where he received various awards. He is a master musician who has served as principal of the Royal Danish Orchestra and the Danish National Radio Symphony Orchestra, and is currently teaching younger musicians at the Danish Music Academy.
