Description:
Masaru Kosuge's latest recording of 2018 is now available! Yu Kosuge's performances are centered on Beethoven and Chopin, with a strong touch and unique sensibility. This album is the first studio recording of the "Four Elements" (Water, Fire, Wind, and Earth) concert series she has been working on since 2017, with a program on the theme of "water. Water, which transforms into various forms such as flowing rivers, rain, and fountains, and blends into our daily lives, has inspired many composers to create numerous compositions. Kosuge chose Mendelssohn, Fauré, and Chopin's Funakata, Toru Takemitsu's "Rain Sketches," as well as works by Ravel, Liszt, and Dai Fujikura that depict various forms of water. Her performance is colored with delicate emotional expression and beautiful tone. The album closes with Wagner's "Tristan und Isolde," an epic love story that takes place on the ocean, and "water" is an essential element. ...... Even if it is a world of fantasy or imagination, its various poetic sentiments and emotions are always connected to this world. We will visit these various works of nature and explore the origins of this beautiful world and the wonder of life itself." (Masaru Kosuge, from the commentary of the domestic release) Naxos Japan
