Robin Titiati and the Deutsches Symphony Orchestra Berlin "The Sea"! World premiere recording of the orchestral version of Kožená's "Forgotten Little Song"! Robin Titiati, a young conductor of Italian-British descent born in London, was appointed Principal Conductor of the Scottish Chamber Orchestra in 2009, Music Director of the Glyndebourne Festival in 2014, and from the 2017/2018 season, Music Director of the prestigious Deutsches Symphonieorchester Berlin (DSO). His new album for Linn Records also features recordings with his new partner, the Deutsches Symphonieorchester Berlin! For his first recording with the DSO, Titiati chose Debussy's orchestral masterpiece "The Sea" and Fauré's "Pelléas et Mélisande" Suite. These two pieces have been highly acclaimed by Ticchiati, who has performed them with the London Philharmonic Orchestra, the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, and the Budapest Festival Orchestra, among others.The most remarkable is the orchestral version of the song for solo voice and piano accompaniment "Forgotten Arrietta"! The Australian composer Brett Dean (b.1961), who was a viola player with the Berlin Philharmonic for 14 years, arranged this version, which was premiered in 2015, and this album is the world premiere recording. The world-renowned Czech singer Magdalena Kožená sings "The Forgotten Little Song," an orchestral rendition of Debussy's delicate colors. Tokyo M-Plus
