Kashi Da Handshi's long-awaited original beat collection is now available on CD from Kogane no Sato Records, with five additional tracks not included on the LP. The title of this collection is HANDSOME HONEY BEATZ INSTRUMENTAL COLLECTION VOL. 1, a sequel to the MIxtape series HANDSOME HONEY BEATZ, released in 2002. Kashi Da HANDSOME has been active as a rapper since the early 90s, released on the late Dev Large's El Dorado Records label as Flick, and as a member of K.O.D.P., and has been active as a rapper, DJ, and producer in Tokyo since the 00s and recently as a DJ. This work is a collection of original beats on samplers, carefully selected from his vast record collection. Focusing on the frontline US underground scene and the method of building the foundation of Hip Hop by sampling not only Black Music but also various other types of music, Kashi Da Hansome has created an original beat with Diggin Deep (depth), Black (blackness), Honey (sweetness), and BPM (BPM) from a different perspective from DJs. The album is a new departure for HANDSOME HONEY BEATZ, with a comfortable rhythm of the 80s and 90s, and a song order that reflects his career as a DJ. This album is sure to become a bridge between HANDSOME HONEY BEATZ and current rappers, and to breathe new life into the Tokyo underground Hip Hop scene.The album was mixed and mastered by ZKA (Mound Eight Studio), art direction and design by Kukio Nakakuki, cover art by KIKFIREBOTTLEWORKS, photography by Shunsuke Shiga, and A&R by DJ D.A.I.
