This live album served as the catalyst for Radiohead to re-examine their sixth studio album, *Hail to the Thief*, and features live performances recorded between 2003 and 2009 in London, Amsterdam, Buenos Aires, and Dublin. The album was mixed by Ben Baptiste (Adele, The Strokes, U2) and mastered by Matt Colton (Aphex Twin, Arctic Monkeys, Ozzy Osbourne). Tom Yorke reportedly decided to release this album after listening to live recordings from that era while co-producing the stage production "Hamlet Hail to the Thief," a passionate adaptation of Shakespeare’s "Hamlet" using a score that reimagined songs from "Hail to the Thief." I was stunned by the energy in the performances I heard—I could barely recognize it as our own. That helped us find our next step, and we decided to mix and release these live recordings (it would be madness to keep them to ourselves). The whole process was incredibly cathartic.
