Saxophone and guitar melodies by Miyuki Fujino, a pioneer of Japanese female funky saxophonist, and Hirokuni Korekata, a legend in the guitar world, intermingle and blend with a powerful groove rhythm section to create a new spice! Funky, rock, and fusion are mixed in this one-of-a-kind album full of originality. In order to avoid bias toward one flavor or the other, Fujino and Korekata split the music 50-50, and the rhythm section of Ishikawa, Hatano, and Shindo came up with additional ideas that solidified the flavor of this album. That is what DOUBLE SPICE is all about. As we played several live shows during the Corona Disaster and built up ideas, we began to think that it would be interesting to create songs that made the most of the guitar and saxophone tones, and we began to formulate them. The meaning of "double spice" is that the two instruments, guitar and saxophone, which are close in tone, intersect to create a melody. It was originally the name of a song, but because of this great meaning, it became the name of the album. Fujino's funky taste and Korekata's rock taste.The rhythm section is the owner of the powerful groove that supports them. Surprisingly, Ishikawa and Hadano-Hatano's rhythm section has not performed together very often, so it can be said that this recording was a discovery of a new rhythm section. If the jazz-tinged Shindo is added to the mix, this will be the most powerful instrumental album ever! This is a must for instrumental music fans. You just have to listen to it and feel it!
