Exhorder, respected by metal fans around the world as the originators of groove metal, have released their first new album in five years! Exhorder has invited Pat O'Brien, formerly of Cannibal Corpse, to join the band on lead guitar and take on a more aggressive style. Produced by master Jens Bogren. Exhorder is a thrash metal band from New Orleans. The Law" was released, but it did not survive the metal dark ages of the 90s, and the band disbanded in 1993. If this were all, they would have been just another one of those unfortunate thrash metal bands that emerged a bit late. However, Exhorder has long been the subject of controversy in the metal world, with many wondering if they were the band that Pantera was based on. Certainly there are many musical and visual similarities between the two. And there is no doubt that Phil Anselmo was a big fan of Exhorder.They said, "Did Pantera have any influence from us? There's no doubt about it. If you ask me if they are copying us, I would say yes, but they worked much harder than we did. But they worked much harder than we did. That's why they succeeded. Exhorder released their third album "Mourn the Southern Skies" in 2007, their first album in 27 years. It was a surprise to fans around the world. They are now releasing their fourth album in five years. This album, titled "Defectum Omnium," has more thrash and punk elements than the previous album, and is more aggressive. The lead guitarist on this album is Pat O'Brien, formerly of Cannibal Corpse! Of course, their signature doomy and groovy development is still there.
