Description:

Pearl Ifukube's Special Effects Music Revived! The legendary concert of the summer of 1983 is back! Akira Ifukube arranged his own film music as concert wind and string music, and reproduced "SF Symphonic Fantasy" and "Ronde in Boulesque for Orchestra", which can be said to be the compilation of Ifukube's special effects film music, with the large orchestra that Ifukube envisioned, and the sound source of the summer 2014 concert, which was intoxicating with its powerful music, has finally been released as a CD album! The sound sources of the concert in the summer of 2014, in which Mr. Ifukube recreated "Science Fiction Symphonic Fantasy" and "Ronde in Brescue for Orchestra" with a large orchestra, are finally being released on CD! This concert, performed faithfully to the score, will bring you a wonderful musical experience that is both traditional and new! The 25-stringed koto and beautiful soprano perform "The Sacred Spring". The chorus of the main title of the popular movie "King Kong vs. Godzilla", which also includes a version specially conducted by Mio Tanaka, will convey the excitement of the audience! 《Artist Profile》 Akira Ifukube One of Japan's greatest composers, celebrating the 110th anniversary of his birth this year. Born in 1914 in Otogi, Hokkaido, he gained his original experience of music through interaction with the Ainu people. He is a composer known for creating nostalgic, emotional, and powerful music based on his experiences. He is also known for composing music for many movies, including "Godzilla," which celebrated its 70th anniversary, and his special effects film music is particularly popular because of its affinity with Ifukube's powerful music. In 1976, he became the president of a university in Tokyo, and after retiring from that position, he continued to focus on nurturing future musicians by establishing an ethnomusicology research institute.
