Description:
This is a Jazz album of 12 songs, including the world's first recording with original lyrics to the title track "Still the Morning Comes" and Yoshitaki Mikimoto, which ended up being scored by the late Charlie Parker, and the original lyrics to a Jazz song. This is a Japanese Jazz vocal album by Jazz singer Takanari Fukagawa, who has been delivering the scenery and feelings of songs by converting English lyrics into Japanese lyrics with almost the same meanings. Between the first and last songs, "Still the Morning Comes" and "Toki no Nagare Bossa," the original title track by Takanari Fukagawa, the entire album is like a single story woven with lyrics in Japanese to various famous songs, including two previously unreleased songs that ended up being scored by the late Charlie Parker. Yoshitaki Mikimoto is supposedly named after Yoshitaka Mikimoto, the general manager of the Japanese pearl industry that dominated the world at the time of Charlie Parker's death, but also because Americans cannot pronounce the overlapping vowels in the word Kobayashi (Kobayashi) as it is. The name of the song is a linguistically and culturally valuable subject matter, as it is a colloquialism similar to the way Americans used to pronounce the overlapping vowels of Kobayashi (Kobiyashi) and Kobiyashi (Kobiyashi). The song has a nostalgic sound, like a prewar Japanese lyric song, with almost no rests and a rapidly changing tune, and it would have been difficult for Americans to compose a piece of music even if they had known the score existed. Takanari Fukagawa took this difficult song and expressed the love between a man and a woman through pearls in Japanese without using the word "pearl" in the Japanese lyrics. This posthumous work, written the year before Charlie Parker passed away, was the first to be released to the world. Another posthumous work with a beautiful melody, Tail Feathers, is also sung as a ballad with original Japanese lyrics. This song, too, takes advantage of the Japanese language's characteristic of having only one note per note, and puts the lyrics to a difficult song. In addition, he sang Billie Holiday's posthumous work "Left Alone," which he wrote but left this world without recording, in both Japanese and English, creating a lonely atmosphere based on his bass solo performance. It is a monumental work of Takanari Fukagawa as a Jazz singer. Included are four of Takanari Fukagawa's original songs, "Still the Morning Comes," "Toki no Nagare Bossa," "Yoshitaki Mikimoto," a posthumous Charlie Parker composition, and "Tail Feathers.
