This is a cover album. This long-awaited reissue of the album, which was #1 on the R&B album charts at the time and was well received by critics, is one that is often overlooked today. Soft And Beautiful" was the final album released on Columbia, and was previously recorded on Columbia but never released.As the title suggests, the selection of standard and soundtrack tracks is a good match with "Soul '69," which was produced under a similar concept, and this CD will be an essential look back at her releases in 1969.
