This is the debut album released in 1969 as Dan Hicks and His Hot Licks. This album included "Canned Music" (covered by Nick DeCaro on his album "Italian Graffiti") and "I Scare Myself" (covered by Thomas Dolby and others), which would later become their signature songs, and already completed their worldview backed by their unique sense of beauty and humor. The album is a dreamy, old-timey, witty and stylish American music that seems to have turned its back on the current trends.
