A milestone in the history of Bra 1 performances. The master of the 1956 DISQUES REFRAIN recording of the concert was used. The superb sound quality of the live performance has been restored in high quality UHQCD! It is hard to believe that this is the performance of the year of his death. The most explosive performance of all, the Bra 1, is now available on UHQCD. The Bavarian State Opera Orchestra (Bavarian National Orchestra) gave a rare performance at their regular concert, the "Academy Concert". From the very beginning of the concert, the audience was overwhelmed by the robust sound of the orchestra. The second movement is rigid and does not fall into sentimentalism. The third movement runs at full speed. The finale is, of course, the highlight of the piece, with the timpani hitting hard as if they were smashing things, and a very unique interpretation that breaks up the melodic beauty into blocks of ideas without regard to the destruction of the melody, making all kinds of changes as much as possible! This is one of the most famous performances by Arbent Roth. The day before this performance, Knappertsbusch gave a concert with the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra at the same venue, a true record of the age of the gods.The master of the DISQUES REFRAIN disc, known for its supreme sound quality, was used.
