Description:

The excellent "Emperor" by Cassadoche and Mozart No. 27, live in stereo at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées. Accompanied by Franco Mannino, who is known for his Visconti film music, and Scandinavian maestro Ehrlinck! The sound quality is very good! The two major concertos by Cassadoche, recorded in stereo by the French National Radio at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées in Paris in 1966 and 1967, are also available on the Spectrum label, which has a reputation for releasing CDs from master tapes. The accompaniment is by the tense and majestic Ehrlinck and Mannino, who is famous for Visconti's films, playing Mozart with singing and elegance. The most important thing is that Cassadoche (in an interview at the Osaka Fertival performance, he said, "My real name is Cassadocheus") is a masterpiece. The elegance and pathos of the second Mozart movement is unparalleled. He was born in Paris in 1899 and studied with Lucien Capet (Capet Quartet) at the Conservatoire de Paris, where the Capet Quartet rehearsed at the Casadesus home. Mannino, born in Palermo in 1924, was the brother-in-law of film director Luchino Visconti and composed music for many of Visconti's films, while Ehrlinck, born in Malmö in 1918, is a Swedish master who is famous for recording the first complete Sibelius symphony cycle. He was also famous for his exchange with Stravinsky and Sibelius, and was feared for his uncompromising and rigorous music making, just as his master Böhm had done.Coincidentally, Mannino and Ehrlichink died in February 2005.
