Orbital's second masterpiece, including such no-questions-asked classics as "Halcyon" and "Rush," is remastered and reissued in an expanded 2-disc edition with a bonus disc. Also includes a remix of Underworld! The UK techno pioneers who "rewrote the rave rule book" are back with a remastered reissue of their 1993 second album, commonly known as the "Brown Album," on London Records. This album, which includes the popular songs "Halcyon" and "Rush," which along with the first album "Chime," defined the band's fame, reached #28 in the UK Album Charts and was a stepping stone to their next album, "Snivilistion," which was a full-fledged breakthrough. Halcyon" sampled the vocals of the recently revived Iopass III's "It's a Fine Day" and quickly became an anthem that transcended genres, generations, and countries, embodying the best balance between pop and dance. The opening track, "Time Becomes," samples Star Trek, and Reich makes clever use of its misalignment to create a danceable groove. The beat for "Impact" is by Meat Beat Manifesto (MBM). Remind" is a reworking of an orbital remix of an MBM track. There is plenty to listen to and talk about outside of the singles.This is one of the most important albums of the career of the one-of-a-kind electronic sibling duo, who were blossoming as both a dance act and excellent album artists, and it documents their meteoric rise. This expanded 2-CD set includes remixes of Underworld and Psychic Warriors of Gaia, dubs, and B-side tracks on an additional bonus disc.
