Durutti Column's last release for the Factory label, Time Was Gigantic... When We Were Kids" is being remastered and reissued with additional bonus tracks to celebrate its 25th anniversary! Durutti Column is the solo project of Manchester, England-based musician Vinnie Riley. He was a signature artist of early Factory Records, along with Joy Division and New Order. Their 1997 album "Time Was Gigantic... When We Were Kids" (released on Factory's successor label, Factory Too) has been remastered and reissued with five additional bonus tracks to celebrate its 25th anniversary. Following the crepuscular release "Fidelity," female vocalist Ely Rudge takes over the main singing duties. The characteristic style of this 1997 album still holds true, combining a transparent guitar sound with a delicate touch, depth, afterimages, minimalism, elements of jazz, folk, and world music, and much more.Connecting with free soul, new age, and club music fields, a fresh look back in a new form may be possible.
