Emmanuel Parnan, known for his European folk masterpiece "Maison Rose," has released on CD a collection of previously unreleased recordings made around the same time as "Maison Rose" that will move fans to tears. Argentinean master Juan Jose Mosalini and Didier Malherbe of Gong also participate as guests. Emmanuel Parnand is a French singer and songwriter whose "Maison Rose" from the 1970s is known as one of the greatest European folk albums of all time. Perelandra" is a collection of recordings made around the same time as "Maison Rose" (late 70s and early 80s), but never released. is now available on CD. Guests include Argentine bandoneon virtuoso Juan José Mossarini, Didier Malherbe of Gong, and French jazz virtuoso Jacques Dangean.Trotting electrics, mellow saxophones, ascending choruses, electro-acoustics, repetition, drones... "It's as if the Trees community, Heron and Robin Williamson met Ellen Fuhrman, Meredith Monk and Ligeti," folk and avant-garde music. An indescribable sonic nirvana that transcends the boundaries of avant-garde, it is simply soul-stirring. This is a release from Souffle Contigne, an emerging Parisian label that has reissued works by Eldon and Jeff Gilson.
