This is the latest solo album by Griff Rhys, the core member of Super Furry Animals, one of the leading bands of the kaleidoscopic pop sound. The album was recorded over 18 months in the capital city of Cardiff and Johannesburg, South Africa. The album was produced and mixed by South African electronic artist Muzi, and is titled "Pang!", which in English means heartache, mental pain, or physical pain, suffering, or seizure. The lyrics reflect the negative heartache of daily life and the suffering and difficulties of modern life. The album's sound retains the pop genius of the previous album, but also includes experimental elements such as dissonance and electronic beats. Domestic edition (with commentary and bilingual lyrics).
