Description:
Mitsuki Kimura -- "King of Blues," a true legend of the Japanese blues world and a treasure of Osaka. Kimura, who has been called "the voice of an angel," turned 70 years old on March 24 last year. On that day, a live concert was held at Osaka Festival Hall to celebrate his 70th birthday. The concept on the front was "commemoration of his birth" and the concept on the back was "reproduction of a live house in a large hall. The concept behind the concert was to "recreate a live house in a large hall," while the concept behind the concert was to "recreate a live house in a large hall." The performance was very special, as Kimura performed in a relaxed and carefree atmosphere in an intimate live house setting, and musicians who had a long relationship with Kimura appeared one after another as secret performers and joined him in a session without any rehearsal. The result was a performance that lasted over three hours, with Kimura performing solo and with the Mitsuki Kimura Rock 'n' Roll Band, and a total of seven guests (BEGIN, Yukari Onishi, Fusanosuke Kondo, Takashi "Hotoke" Nagai, Mari Kaneko, Junji Ariyama, and Masaki Ueda), performing songs from their entire careers without hesitation. It was a memorable night. The one-night-only concert was recorded and released on Blu-ray for the first time. This is the first Blu-ray release of the concert. (C)RS
