The album is a cassette release of the music for the 5 collections of TAKAHIROMIYASHITA The Soloist. organized by the charismatic Takahiro Miyashita of the fashion industry, for SS/FW 2021, SS/FW 2022, and SS 2023! Takahiro Miyashita's TAKAHIROMIYASHITA The Soloist., which is internationally acclaimed for its solitary style and unique stance in the fashion scene, created the soundtrack for a video expressing its concept during the global pandemic when the collection could not be held. Eiji Sugiura created the soundtrack.Miyashita, a well-known music fan, asked SUGIURUMN / Eiji Sugiura, who was also active as The Alexx at the time, to produce the soundtrack. This was the first experience for Miyashita to translate his image into sound through trial and error. It was a never-ending process, a maze with no correct answers, and an experience that made Eiji Sugiura's consciousness synchronize with Takahiro Miyashita's brain. This dense and intense production experience led to SUGIURUMN's new album "SOMEONE IS DANCING SOMEWHERE," which has a freer and broader musical style. The resulting songs are soundscapes on a level that could be used in a Hollywood movie. Even a single beat, a single hi-hat, is sharpened, and the depth and profundity of the sound is so tense that it could be a representation of a world in the throes of a pandemic. The result is an ambitious work that moves from left-field downtempo to dub, breaks, industrial, and rock.In 2021, the soundtrack to the first collection he worked on was released as "doe(s)" in a limited edition of 100 analog copies under the name Eiji Sugiura, and sold out immediately. This time, two tracks were replaced and released as "Eiji Sugiura Selected Works for TAKAHIROMIYASHITA The Soloist. 1", including a track that was not included on the LP. The collection of songs from the 2022 SS onward, which have not yet been recorded, will be released simultaneously as "Eiji Sugiura Selected Works for TAKAHIROMIYASHITA The Soloist. 2".
