Description:

On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Yoshinao Nakata's birth, I first met Mr. Sakashita when he was still a student at a music college and enthusiastically performing with four of his friends. I was especially attracted to Sakashita's singing voice when I first heard them sing after being begged for lessons. He has a soft and resonant voice, which is rare among Japanese. If her husband Yoshinao Nakata, a composer, had met Sakashita before his death, he would have been delighted by her voice. Sachiko Nakata (Mrs. Yoshinao Nakata) <Tadahiro Sakashita (baritone)> Graduated from Toho Gakuen School of Music, Department of Voice. Completed three years of graduate studies at the same college. Completed master class at Nikikai Opera Training Institute. Received the Grand Prize (first prize) and the Yoshinao Nakata Prize at the 9th Naka-Kinao Memorial Competition. She has received many other awards. Recent operatic performances include Escamillo in "Carmen" (New Japan Philharmonic), the title role in Antonello's opera "The Tale of Orfeo," the title role in "Giulio Cesare," and Zeus, the supreme god in "Lacaristo. Her activities are not limited to classical music, but transcend genres in a wide range of activities, and she is highly trusted by professionals in many fields for her unusually soft voice, solid musicality, and beautiful, well-thought-out Japanese diction. She made her major debut as the lead vocalist of "La Dill," a unit produced by singer-songwriter Ami Ozaki, and released the album "Smell Standing Wind" (Crown Records). She made a guest appearance at the All Japan Children's Song Contest Grand Prix Competition and sang as a soloist singer in the 2021 Disney On Classic "Dream and Magic Gift" on a national tour.Composer Koichi Sakata has provided her with the songs "Mitasora" and "Camille's Waltz", which she sang on his CD.
