Richard Berry's cover of the song by Rockin' Robin Roberts was a local hit, and the Kingsmen's cover of it (1963) became a hit in the U.S. This compilation features various versions of the classic song "Louie Louie," which became synonymous with garage/flat rock in the 1960s. The compilation is now complete! The first half of the compilation consists of tracks released by All Days Records in the order of their release, while the second half consists of selected tracks from the many versions, arranged in the order of acceleration and tempo. The second half of the album features selected tracks from the many versions of the song, with the tempo increased in order of acceleration.
