As with the previous album, the material is classic standards. While the previous album was a collection of standards by players (instrumentalists), this album is a collection of standards sung by singers. Enjoy the tension-filled performance of songs that transcend genres, performed by a simple saxophone, guitar, and bass trio. Stars&Smiles,Vol.2(Songs)" is the sequel to Vol.1, which was released in July. While the previous album was a collection of standards composed by players (instrumentalists), this album is a collection of standards composed for singers (vocalists). The former was written for improvisation, while the latter was written for singing, and the true value of the jazz player is tested.The main singers of the songs covered are listed below, and it is easy to see how these songs have been loved by great musicians in the past. It is a fun way to compare the original versions with these well-known cover versions. We hope you will enjoy it along with Vol. 1.
