This latest release features Laurel Lewis (ds) and Mike Maher (tp) of Snarky Puppy, Ambrose Akinmusire (tp), the No. 1 young trumpeter who has played on Kendrick Lamar's albums, and Sam Yahel (org), who has played with Joshua Redman and Brian Blade. Sam Yahel (org), Lisa Fischer (vo), who has sung with the Rolling Stones and others in the movie "Back Chorus Diva," and Joe Laurie (vo), a Brooklyn jazz scene member who has been an integral part of Sting's work, are among the musicians who have participated on this album. Laurel Lewis, in particular, greatly contributed to the sound color of the album.The cover songs that are the topic of every release include the justly wonderful Coldplay's "Yellow," Devoid Bowie's "Let's Dance," and Randy Newman's "Sad Rain.
