VOOID, a Taipei-based indie rock band led by Hong Shenhao (formerly of Transparent Magazine), is releasing two records simultaneously: an LP and a 7-inch. VOOID has become an indispensable presence in the discussion of Taiwan’s recent indie scene. Over the past year, their live shows have consistently sold out, and this summer, they held a two-day sold-out solo concert in Taipei under the unusual format of “no social media announcements whatsoever,” drawing a crowd of 1,000 people. The momentum was cemented by the release last year of their first full-length album in about eight years, *VOOID2025*. Widely hailed as one of the year’s best albums among indie listeners, it is already being discussed as a landmark release in Taipei’s indie history. Hong Shen-hao has been involved in the scene for nearly 20 years, dating back to the era of *Transparent Magazine*. In fact, he is arguably at the peak of his career right now. For this vinyl release, the tracks have been rearranged and new songs added, resulting in two releases: an LP and a 7-inch. Mastering was handled by Soichiro Nakamura (PEACEMUSIC).
