Ebrahmsen studied composition with Noago and Gudmundsen-Holmgreen. He is known as someone who gives new life to the mysteries of nature in dark and deep music, as in the very early work on this album, String Quartet No. 1 "10 Preludes," or as someone who gives new life to the masterpieces of Schumann and Satie by arranging them for a wind ensemble. He himself is an excellent French horn player and has a wealth of knowledge about wind instruments, which he applies with great skill to his works. Naxos Japan
